about 13 hours ago @cjsamuel Madonna light-years better than The Who, Prince or even JT/JJ. SB shows are watered down like Tonight Show with Lenno comedy.
about 13 hours ago CAT-5 successfully installed. Thanks to @matthewAhylton and Mike Morton for helping, and guiding my first successful RJ-45 crimping.
about 1 day ago Best thing from star wars episode 1 3d trailer? Jarjar no where to be seen. Wish it represented no jarjar in the movie.
about 1 day ago @cjsamuel the blue bottle is for d-bags.

about 4 days ago I want to welcome @Urvaksh back to the world of standard iOS 5. Even if its for a few days when to JB your iPhone again.
about 5 days ago @Urvaksh @joeypowell yes. That's awfully quick. I was at 40% at 4. Heavy use since. Now at 23%. 2.5 hours with less drain and more use.
about 5 days ago @joeypowell @Urvaksh yep, its got to be either exchange or JB. The backlight would not kill it that fast.
about 5 days ago @Urvaksh not sure about the heat-up, either unrelated, or bad battery. best way to test, un-JB for a couple days. see if it stops, then JB
about 5 days ago @Urvaksh before a full wipe, you could try re-setting-up the exchange account. But I still think the JB is more likely.
about 5 days ago @Urvaksh yeah, it could be email. are you guys on exchange 2010 now? what changed? could be constantly updating.
about 5 days ago @AlanaMarie Hand sanitizer.

Apple TV update looming

It seems that Apple may be ready to launch a revision to their "hobby" device – Apple TV. The revision looks like it could be interesting and could feature a new interface thanks to iOS, and a mostly (or entirely) streaming functionality. Finally, rumors have the new revision coming in at $99, and with a new name – iTV. I don't know what to tell you about the name, there may be some international trademark issue, but that has never stopped Apple before.

I am excited at the possibility that Apple may be embracing the home entertainment center in a new way, but I wonder what will happen to those of us rockin' the current AppleTV. The current version has enough juice to handle the video and audio, and I would assume, the iOS for apps. And, its the apps I am most interested in.

Currently, AppleTV owners, in order to enjoy some the the extra curricular applications that a web enabled home entertainment device can tap into – like Pandora –  are forced to hack their AppleTV to run Boxee, or XMBC. This is similar to jailbreking your iPhone. Its a hassle, not supported by Apple, and in the long-run, a very inelegant solution.

What I would love to hear from Apple, and see in the future update of the AppleTV is a software update for those of us with the original models, that turns our devices into an entertainment-center-connected iPad. Sure, playing games on it would be difficult, but having access to all the other lifestyle apps on the store would be simply amazing, and make the AppleTV one of my favorite entertainment center devices.
